Thomas Mulvey, M.S., P.T., M.B.A.

Athletex Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy is owned an operated by Physical Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, Lecturer, and Coach, Thomas Mulvey M.S., P.T., M.B.A.. Thomas Mulvey attended the University of Illinois/Chicago and studied Kinesiology. Mr. Mulvey received his Physical Therapy Degree from Northwestern University Medical School. Mr. Mulvey received his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy/Exercise Physiology from the University of Illinois/ Chicago. Thomas received his M.B.A. in Finance from St. Xavier University’s Graham School of Management.

Mr. Mulvey has completed numerous continuing education courses emphasizing Joint Mobilization, Orthopedics, Work Conditioning/Work Hardening, Ergonomics, and Industrial Medicine.

Prior to starting his practice, Mr. Mulvey held staff and supervisory positions at a number of prominent hospitals and clinics. Mr. Mulvey has lectured to numerous groups and has been published by physical therapy and major industry journals.

Mr. Mulvey founded Athletex Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 1992 with the mission of offering quality rehabilitation that educates the patient from acute onset to their maximal functional level.

Mr. Mulvey is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (Sports, Orthopedic, and Private Practice Sections), Americam Academy of Sports Medicine, and the Illinois Physical Therapy Association.

Gina Finney, P.T., D.P.T., M.T.C.

Gina graduated from University of Evansville with her masters in physical therapy in 2003. She completed her manual therapy certification in December of 2009 from the University of St. Augustine, and earned her transitional doctorate of physical therapy in December of 2010 from the University of St. Augustine.

She incorporates manual therapy and therapeutic exercises in treating orthopedic and neurological disorders. Dr. Gina Finney has also completed training in work conditioning, wrist and hand therapy, neurodevelopmental training (NDT), respiratory therapy, and the graston technique.

Siobhan Mulvey, PT, DPT

Siobhan graduated from Marquette University in 2018 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and also received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology with a Minor in Spanish.

She has been practicing in Outpatient Physical Therapy since 2018. During that time, she has experienced treating common orthopedic injuries, vestibular dysfunction, as well as neurologic impairments, more specifically gait and balance disturbances. Siobhan has a variety of continuing education background including Manual Therapy training through the University of St. Augustine, Vestibular Rehabilitation, as well as incorporating Yoga in Physical Therapy.

Siobhan has experience in competitive sports including soccer, basketball, and Irish Dance, and participated in injury prevention programs as female athlete, which helped inspire her to become a Physical Therapist.

Siobhan is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Orthopedic Section, as well as the Illinois Physical Therapy Association.
