Letter to Parents

Dear Parents:

As Sports continue to become more and more competitive, parents continue to seek an edge for their children. The end result is over trained young athletes that become injured or develop overuse injuries that were once found only in industrial workers. Not only do these programs not accomplish the goals that they promised, but they create new problems that are even more costly. Injuries to these young athletes are potentially not an isolated event, but the starting point of other problems-financial, physical, academic, and emotional.

“Girls can train better and smarter to decrease their risks.”
(Michael Sokolove, author of
Warrior Girls : Protecting Our Daughters Against the Injury Epidemic in Women’s Sports)

ATHLETEX Sports Specific Training is a program that was designed and implemented by me, a Physical Therapist with over twenty–two years of treating Sports and Orthopedic Injuries.

Not only does my program target Strength, Flexibility, Endurance, Coordination, Balance, Agility, Speed, and Reaction Time, I also address the very areas that are most common for athletic injuries (i.e. ankle sprains/ strains, knee-Patellofemoral injuries, “Jumper’s Knee,” Low Back/ Core Weakness, Shoulder Instabilities). Furthermore, I isolate the most significant problem that these young athletes have in proximal muscle weakness.

My Program also emphasizes Anterior Cruciate Ligament Prevention Training and I am trained/certified by one of the top ACL Orthopedic Surgeons in the country (Dr. Frank Noyes, M.D. ).

I have experience training athletes from the Division One Collegiate Level, High School Level, and Elementary School Level. I have worked with competitive clubs in Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Soccer, Hockey, and even Figure Skating.

Today, with health care costs increasing, why not add prevention into your training program?

Please call me to discuss how Athletex Sports Specific Training can assist in making your successful program even more successful. (708-424-4025).

Sincerely,
